Updating or Adding a New Year’s DTAX Rates

Copy rates from a previous year or edit rate codes directly in DTAX to update tax year setup.

Use this guide at the start of tax season to add new DTAX rates or verify and update existing rates.
Important: Rates are stored by the input year, not the bill year.

1. Open DTAX Setup

1. Launch DTAX.

2. Go to Setup.

2. Open Rate/District

• Select Rate/District from the setup options.

3. (Optional) Edit an existing rate

• If you’re only updating an existing rate, skip to Step 5.

4. Copy rates to create a new year

1. Click Copy.

2. Choose the year to copy from and the new year to add.

3. Click Copy again to add the rates for the new year.

5. Update individual rates

1. Select a rate code.

2. Update the Rate per $100 field.

3. Click Save when finished.

🔑 Notes

• Always double-check rates after copying to a new year.

• Save each updated rate before exiting.
