CCLIX: What Is the Difference Between Saving and Writing a Record?
Answer
In CCLIX, saving and writing a record perform different functions and lead to different outcomes.
Saving a record keeps the information editable and incomplete.
Saved records are considered in progress and can continue to be updated or reviewed.
Writing a record finalizes it in the system.
Once written, the record is treated as complete and certain changes are no longer allowed.
Saving allows work to continue.
Writing makes the record permanent within CCLIX.
If you are unsure whether a record should be finalized, saving allows you to pause without committing the record.
